my life in art

I have been making art for as long as I can remember. From an early age, I have been drawn to creative self expression. Always exploring and experimenting with new mediums, and finding ways to express what I can't quite put into words. Over the years, that simple love for creating has grown into a lifelong passion that continues to shape and inspire my work every day.

how i got started

My path into the world of metal arts has been one of discovery, self reflection, and staying true to what I've always felt deep down...that I am an artist. From a young age, I've been drawn to building and making things with my hands. After leaving my hometown in Ontario and traveling for some years, I decided it was time to continue my education and pursue my interests in the arts. During my nomadic years, I developed a love for tinkering on my old chevy van, which taught me how to build, weld, and work with tools. This experience sparked my interest in the metal art world. I attended The Kootaney School of the Arts in Nelson, BC in 2021, where I graduated with honours from the blacksmithing and bronze casting program. Attending this school opened up a new door for me and created a very strong interest in metal working and fabrication. I continued my education at Camosun College in Victoria, BC and completed my level 1 metal fab and sheet metal, where I gained a solid foundation in welding, fabrication, and precision.

In my work, craftsmanship and creativity blend together. Technical skill provides the foundation, and creativity brings it to life.
